What better way to spend a relaxing weekend than to stay in our comfortable hotel and enjoy a good bed and a caring staff?

The geographical situation of our establishment being idyllic (5 minutes from downtown Saintes), a wide range of activities is offered to you.

Today, we put the bicycle in the spotlight.

For this, our team has concocted an exceptional itinerary to enjoy a bike ride, at your own pace. A walk strewn with discoveries and breathtaking landscapes!

So let's go, get on your bike and follow the guide!

But first of all, what does the Flow Vélo mean?

The Flow Vélo is first of all a state of mind! It is about taking your time and enjoying every moment!

All the testimonies are unanimous: by pedaling slowly, you will discover hidden gems, which we assure you are worth seeing!

The Flow Vélo is also the cycling route from the green Périgord to the Atlantic coast. A route of 290 km, only that!

What is the simple route we suggest?

Saintes → Crazannes
  • Departure: Saintes.
Ride along the Charente River and enjoy a breathtaking view of the boats gently sailing along with the wind.

  • After that, you will discover a completely different landscape along the cycle route: a countryside with reliefs.

  • Continue northwest for your next stop: the charming village of Port d'Envaux.
It is out of the question for you not to visit this authentic place because you would miss :

➤ The discovery of its dynamic harbor.
➤ The splendid castle of Panloy, with its Louis XV style.
➤ Its famous open-air museum: the Lapidiales. To learn more about this unusual place, click here!
  • Finish this itinerary by Crazannes, with the discovery of another enchanting castle, classified as a Historical Monument!
With the sweet nickname of "Château du Chat Botté" (Puss in Boots), it already makes us want to explore it! Do not you?
Why this nickname?

Simply because in the 17th century, when Jules Gouffier, Count of Caravaz, became the owner of the place, he inspired Charles Perrault to create the Marquis de Carabas, Master of Puss in Boots in his famous tale.
